Our faces are the way we meet and greet the world. If we don’t feel 100% confident in how we do this, it is reflected in our confidence and our willingness to be ourselves. For many, the way we face the world is directly related to how we see ourselves. We always want to put our best face forward but what if we just aren’t happy with how we look? For many women, this is a factor that comes down to something simple to change. I’m talking about our eyebrows. I know for me, my eyebrows are naturally thin, light, and pretty much nonexistent. Sure, I can spend time each and every day with fillers and pencils, hoping to get the shape just right, trying to get both sides to match. But what if there was an easier way? And, there is: microblading.
What Is Microblading?
For anyone who may be unfamiliar with microblading, allow me to provide you with a quick understanding. It is a semi-permanent method of having absolutely perfect eyebrows! Basically, it is a higher tech version of a temporary tattoo that leaves you with practically maintenance-free brows. So, let’s delve right into the real questions here including “why semi-permanent?” and “how much?” for this dream process.
First, let’s address the semi-permanent nature of microblading. This stems from the type of ink used for the process. But, let us further look at how semi-permanent it really is. The initial process may take as many as 3 sessions. Over the course of the sessions, a plan is made for shape after which ink is applied. Depending on how well the ink holds, the results last from 9-18 months. If you want the results to last longer, just keep having touch up sessions once a year and you are good to go.
So How Much Does It Cost?
So, now the million dollar question as it were. How much does this amazing and life changing process cost? The initial sessions range from as low as about $350 to as high as $800. Now, I want to be clear that each microblading specialist has their own method. For some specialists, the fee is all inclusive to get you to the finished result while other specialists use a graduated step method that means you only pay for the number of sessions you need to create the look you desire. The bottom line for the finished process is generally in the $700-$800 range. The touch up sessions are in the $200-$400 range. This may seem like a substantial amount but when I take into account the time I save and the products I no longer have to purchase, this more than makes up the difference in the end.
Is Microblading Worth It?
The need for fast and easy ways to improve your daily routine and your image of yourself in the world is a much needed service in today’s fast paced society. Microblading solves a major issue for many of us. I have been able to go from thin, barely there brows or inconsistent unequal sides to beautiful brows while cutting my daily beauty routine time by nearly half. This makes the microblading process more than worth every penny it cost me. Are you ready to face the world with perfect brows?
